Faye Parker was always interested in art, although it wasn't until her children left their property west of Longreach in Queensland for boarding school that she followed her compulsion to paint.
She was initially self taught with the support of The Australian Artist Magazine but has developed her skills through workshops and now teaches others how to express themselves through art.
She and husband Bill travelled Australia for 5 years in the 1990s this trip provided inspiration for her landscapes. Now retired she mainly paints in pastels and acrylic.
She has exhibited in Brisbane and central western Queensland and has a studio in Longreach.
